CRAFTY EYE CANDY

Hi Everyone...if you're still there...remember me?

Sorry for the long absence.

But I've been crafting.
For a reason.
I hum when I craft.

These are some of my excuses.......

A cake card ....makes me want to make a wedding cake in this colour....draped with pearls...

Dried paper roses made from cardstock ~ cardstock by K & Co...love them ~

Beautiful water colour bouquet cardstocks by K & Co. LOve the doily lace edging. I made it using the doily lace Martha Stewart punch... i love punches ~

A 'letter card' .....I love old world scripted backgrounds ~

A grunge style tag ~ flowers made from pages of a vintage book...and used a bird cage stamp that is so cool and elegant ~

Now this I love....a vintage insipred Thank You tag. Flower was made from pages of a vintage book

The end ~

This requires no washing up ~ ;)

PS ~ All photos were taken using my mobile phone...do excuse the poor quality..

  5. Hi Monique....Tq for dropping by..and for your kind words...its been such a long time ..yes ..it is relaxing.the very reason I make them :)

    Hi Unknown,

Glad u found my blog. Im happy that you are inspired...im new at card making so ive learnt a lot from tutorials as well..I saw a tutorial for the dries roses and while I was making them I wanted to refer but i cldnt find it again..i looked for it just now but cld not find again...so I'll xplain it to you here.. its quite easy..

take a strip of cardstock ( design must be on both sides)...doesnt matter what measurement really... i used a 6 x 1/2 inch strip. Pull the blade of a scissors along it to soften teh fibres..then crush it up(not too tight) and then open it up again into a strip while taking care not to tear it.... Then twist it a little, carefully and loosely though, something like you wld if making fabric roses...once that is done start rolling from one end until the the other end. CAREFUL not to tear it!... glue at the end. You got your rose! you may distress the top of the rose if you like t give it a dried look. :)

use a longer and wider strip if you want bigger roses.

Hope that helps...dont hesitate to contact me if you need more explaination :)

  6. Hi Unknown.....actually when u twist it you will have to press it as you twist so that it will be easy to roll it up after that..(do ignore what i said about 'loosely")..:)
